We went to CSA for our wedding moon, and what a great place. There are a few things they could work on, so I'll get those out of the way now. For starters, I thought the whole check in process needs a re-design. I’ve seen it mentioned before and I’d have to agree that after the length of travel we did, we really shouldn’t have waited so long to get checked in. From when we arrived at CSA to our room was about 45 minutes. And they knew we were coming since we checked in at the airport, they had a good 1 ½ hours to figure our room and all of that and we felt we should have been checked in already. But it’s Jamaica and we were on our wedding moon, so we didn’t really spend more than a minute after that 45 minute wait worrying about it. The only other “complaint” I would have is the top shelf liquor… they have it, but you have to ask for it. I didn’t realize that until a few drinks into it that if you wanted kettle one vodka or something, you had to say so by name. Otherwise you’d get the cheapest stuff they had if you ordered a vodka and something. But no worries, we realized that quick and ordered by name, problem solved! As for the good things… wow, so many. The food was wonderful everywhere we went. We pretty much tried all they had to offer, our favorite place was Feathers. We had Dean as a waiter a few times and he was great! The beef tenderloin was the best too… I think we ended up eating there 4 or 5 times, we loved it. We tried lemongrass, it was good but I’m not a huge Thai fan, but it was still good. We ate the buffet every morning and it was great. All the restaurants were great, but we’re not huge food critics, so we’re probably easy to please. The activities… amazing! We went snorkeling and did the booze cruise, went wakeboarding and took out the hobie cats a bunch (wish I would have done that sooner, but we didn’t start sailing those until the last few days). On top of that, there are a lot of things that the resort doesn’t really mention that they have. For starters, “Bones” one of the entertainment coordinators goes around daily and drums up a volleyball game. He is hilarious! I think he was our favorite employee that the resort had… I really hope they realize this and keep him happy too. But he and the “smiling orange” were great, very friendly and entertaining… Bones especially, I just can’t say enough about him. The beach was amazing also… it was never crowded and I think the resort was at capacity. The beach huts were swooped up early, but we got one on one of the days… it was nice. The funny thing is, they’re all taken but you rarely see anyone in them. I guess people just feel they deserve one or something and go claim it, but not necessarily use it. The nightly entertainment was great…. the piano bar was our favorite, we’re just bummed we weren’t turned on to it earlier in our trip. Do yourself a favor and check it out… it was most nights starting a little after 6:30pm. The talent show was hilarious, the bands were good, movie on the beach, bonfire, etc. Definitely something to do on that resort, you can be as busy or as lazy as you want. The wedding was amazing! What a great setting. We ended up meeting a couple that was on their 25th wedding anniversary, Tom and Mary, and they ended up being the witnesses. We also met two really nice couples on the ride over, one of them, Carlos and Valencia got married on the same day! We used Diana Campbell for our photos/video and they came out amazing. Becca cries every time she sees the video. Here’s a link to the photos (about 200!). http://www1.snapfish.com/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=44000844/a=53870369_53870369/t_= 53870369 We would truly recommend her and Owen to anyone, you won’t be disappointed. All in all, it was a fabulous vacation and we will go back for sure. We had a blast, and loved every minute of it… from the people we met, to the employees, to the resort itself… it was all top notch. I’ve never been to a place that truly had something for everyone. |

Ben, the pics look great! Now I know why Becca cries at the DVD. I would too. Everything was beautiful. I can't believe we missed it. Make sure you tell Becca that so many of the poses were great that I can't even pick my favorite. To many years of happiness..... Kendell & Santiba |

Thanks everyone! I will tell her Santiba, Valencia said she's wanting to come back for her one year... hopefully you and Kendall can make it as well. We're going to try for sure... the weather was perfect that time of year it seemed. I just can't stop thinking about the resort and how bad I want to go back... I guess now I know why it has so many repeaters, they have their act together for sure. |

Great review. Amazing pictures! I could feel your happiness just looking at them. What a beautiful couple you make! I have a question about the flowers in your hair. Are they real, and how are they attached? Congratulations and best wishes. |

The flowers in my hair were real, they matched my bouquet. The salon at the resort did my hair and she attached the flowers using bobbie pins. I was extremely happy with how she styled my hair, I brought in pictures of how I wanted it to look and she made it look even better! Thanks for all the compliments with the pictures! For all of you that we met while we were there it was a pleasure talking with you and hanging out. We really can't wait to go back! |

Ben&Becca, you're pics are awesome...some really cool shots captured. I don't recall us waiting too long for our room, but we probably did wait just as long. We were so happy to just get there finally that the check-in wait wasn't even a bother forus. We had cold towels and champagne..couldn't complain. |

Yeah Valencia (Csaweddingmooners)... it wasn't like the wait for the room ruined anything, we didn't really think twice about it until I posted the review and I do know that 45 minutes was a bit long. Now as far as how they treated you with the cold towels and champagne and such, sure I won't complain about that. I do know that we were the last ones to get our room from the bus and Becca was the first at the counter. They just told her to have a seat and they'd get to her... so we waited and when we saw everyone filling out those forms, I went back up and they said that we had to fill out the forms to get a room... so the first 20 minutes, we waited for nothing. Thanks Denise and Jim, that was very nice of you to say. We were very happy... hard not to be when you're getting married to the one you love in such a paradise of a place! It was a lot of fun, and our photographer, owen, helped with that. She works for Diana Campbell that quite a few of us have used, they have their act together and are on top of their game! |

Ben & Becca, My husband and I renewed our vows at 11:00 a.m. May 26th. I remember seeing the both of you on your wedding day getting your pictures taken throughout the resort with Diana and Owen. I am glad you posted them because I wanted to see how they turned out. The pictures are beautiful. The two of you make an adorable couple. Best wishes!! Tasha and Chris |
