We just returned from CN last weekend and had the TIME OF OUR LIVES!!!! Hello to anyone that was there 5/20 - 5/27. We have always believed that nothing is good or bad until it's compared to something else. There's one problem...we have nothing to compare it to. This is the first time we have taken a vacation like this and quite honestly, we don't see how it could get any better. We would like to try other places (Mexico, Dominican, etc...) but what if they suck...or at the very least, what if they are not nearly as good. What if they are better? (Is that even possible?) Who has been to other All Inclusives and how do they compare to CN? Thanks for your help! Joel and Vickie

Hello - I was there 5/24-5/30. I was married last Friday @ Noon. I have been to (3) other All-Inclusives IN JAMAICA and they don't compare (Couples was my 4th). I'm sure we crossed paths. I should be able to post pics next wk. Thx!

you are asking the wrong crowd...CN doesn't compare to other all-inclusives...there is just something about the way Couples and their staff do things that make so many of their guests repeaters. I have been to 3-4 other all inclusives and it would take a lot of convincing to book anywhere else...definitely not in Jamacia...we will always go to couples there!

Your right the others places you mention aren't as good as Couples. We go somewhere different or Cruise once in awhile but when you really NEED a vacation to relax and be spoiled there is nothing to compair to Couples.

CN was our first AI... and our last. Why risk being disappointed with another AI when you KNOW Couples rocks!?

CN was also our first AI and we haven't been to a different one since. We are afraid of going somewhere else and being disappointed. There is something about CN that I don't believe you can get just anywhere. :-) We LOVE LOVE CN!

Going to CN is the cats(southern for best)..We have visited many resorts during our life time and CN is heads and shoulders above all of them if you take EVERYTHING into consideration..

Will we visit another resort? NO,not if we are paying for it.

Ms Karen Lanigan's staff at CN is just simply the best and we THANK them.

Better hang with Couples..

My wife and I have been to Mexico to an all inclusive on our honymoon ten years ago. Went to CN in Dec 2002. It did not compare to CN in service or food. In fact we do not want to go anywhere els. We are returning Dec 22 for our ten year anniversary.

We have only done one other AI in Playa del Carmen. While the rooms were fabulous, (little suites with mini bar) and huge bathroom, very new and beautiful, the pool was fabulous as well. My rants stop there. The beach was extremely crowded, felt like a sardine packed in. You NEVER get that feeling at CN.

The food got boring in the 4 days we were there, there was premium liquor only at one bar, the rest of the bars offered the sub standard liquor, which quite frankly makes for a bad headache. While we encountered a few staff members there that became good friends, and made our trip memorable, in NO WAY did we experience a staff like that of Couples. Everyone at Couples will greet you and attempt to talk to you to see if you are having a good time, if you need anything, always with a smile. And.... there were kids.

There is just something about Couples, that has that "romance in the air" feeling to it. I loved the adult only part of Couples, and the layout of the grounds, the fact that you could be "alone" if you chose to be, or very social if you chose to be. EVERYONE we met at Couples was very friendly, and we made many new friends, that did not happen at the "other" resort.

Again the food... not even a comparison.......... CN blew the other place away!!!!! and... in Jamaica you don't have the added worry that you have in Mexico or the Dominican of "don't drink the water" or eat anything that has been washed with it. The water in Jamaica is perfectly safe and very good!!!

We are not the type of people who like to go back to a place we have already been to, "too many places to go and see", but Couples is indeed an exception, as is Jamaica in general, we found Jamaica to be everything we have been looking for in a vacation destination. The combination of Jamaica and Couples becomes an addiction, since our return, I cannot stop thinking about it, the pictures are my screensavers at home and at work, I have looked at the photo albulm dozens of times....... I pop on the message board at work as well as home for my daily "fix". I check the rates to return daily, I can't WAIT to get back there.........

My husband who usually will go with the flow with whatever I plan for a vacation, and never says a word or gives his opinion, well this time, when I was looking at "other destinations" just to be sure, he looked at me and said....."I'd love to go back to CN". That was huge, enuf said..........

We have been traveling to all inclusive resorts since 1984 - Couples Ocho Rios was our first experience. We usually travel twice a year, always all-inclusives. Have been to many others in Jamaica and at least 10 others in Mexico and other islands. Couples just seems to do EVERYTHING better than all the others (and I must admit that the others were quite nice)- it also helps that Jamaica is simply Paradise. There are many other nice resorts throughout the Carribean, we been repeaters to several, we just keep coming back to Jamaica and to Couples; this December will be our 5th consecutive trip to CN - I think that says something. Explore if you are curious but I think you will return to Couples. A & F

I have been to Maya Riveria. While the accommodations, food, ocean and beach were all very nice, it wasn't much of a "hideaway" - You constintly hear the loud music and other happenings at the resorts on both sides of it. Plus it was extremely expensive compared to the other AIs in the Maya Riveria. I have also been to two lower end AIs in the Maya Riveria. These can't compare at all to Couples. None of these resorts have the extensive list of extras (Golf, Catamaran cruises, diving, snorkeling trips) included in the price. Couples is a great bargain especially if you plan to take advantage of their entire package. It all depends on what you're looking for. Couples makes it very easy to get a full vacation without exerting much effort.

We have been to an AI in the DR (Punta Cana) and thought it was pretty good. UNTIL we discovered CN. We have been back again, and also tried CSA in March. We are hooked on Couples resorts 100% and love the staff and the food and the calm blue water and the romantic atmosphere of both CN and CSA. Too many "ands" to name! We have stopped looking for Paradise cause we found it in any Couples resort.
