The Resort @ Couples Negril, The Staff, Our Wedding & Wedding Coordinator exceeded ALL of our expecations. Although I've been home for a couple of days now, spiritually I am still at Couples Negril (I mean really). The Staff absolutely Spoils You Rotten! - while treating you like Kings and Queens.
I won't go into details in my review, however; it's necessary that I elaborate on the many and on-going concerns that "we" have - just to clear things up...
1) The Resort was full to capacity and never appeared to be crowed at any time during the 7 days that we were there. Service was always efficient no matter what your needs were. It's a beautiful place and walking throughout the property was not a problem (who would not enjoy walking around those grounds).
2) The Rooms were not outdated (as I have heard others say). Lovely rooms equipped with hair-dryer, iron&board, clock radio&cd player, comfortable King-Size beds, we had no use for outlets, but I did notice a few. We had a beach-front so every night before turning-in; we would sit on the balcony and just kicking-back sipping on whatever (redstripe, wine, mixed-drink, etc.) while enjoying the view and listening to the sounds of the waves.
3) Water pressure - my husband and I had no complaints. Water did not cut off and neither did the pressure slow down at any time and we showered 2-3 times a day.
4) Food, tons of it, everything was great and presented and arranged so beautifully.
5) Our Wedding - 1st let me say that I have been trying to posts pictures and I keep getting a message that my pictures are too large (gotta get back to that later) Anyway, in my opinion - unless you're having a wedding party, invited guests (friends & family); your day should be less than perfect. Yes it was just my husband and I and yes we were the only ones that were married on that day (Friday @ Noon), but I still maintain the perfection that they strive for in terms of assisting in every way to make you happy that you chose Couples Resorts as your Destination Wedding Location. The Wedding Group does a great job in helping you keep your cool (when they say "no problem" - they mean "no problem"). The Resort Photographer was the best, the reception had a personal touch for us and the table-setting was beautiful. I created my cake topper. I had shopped around for sea shells that matched our color-theme and the kitchen did a great job at setting them up on my cake (which by the way was delicious). Rasheda took a few shells and placed them within my bouquet, we purchased colored champaigne glasses (from Pier1) for our toast which matched perfectly. I didn't need Salon services as my hair was styled while at home. Rasheda added some flowers which made it look like I had just left the Hair Gallery. I love her!!!!
Our pictures, cd and DVD are a joy to watch and we are so proud that we chose CN. This is my 4th All-Inclusive Resort visit to Jamaica. I certainly see why others have called and made Couples their 2nd home. It's a very special place with very special people. |

Courtney25-We dropped $500 on our photos (25 pics placed/arranged in album, 103 shots on cd and a dvd of the actual ceremony/reception). I hope to have my pics posted next wk. Instead of the Mento band, we decided to decorate our Wedding Location more w/flowers which costs an extra $150. After watching other weddings (that didn't bother), and it just being him/I -we saw the Mento Band as a waste. You will be taking so many pictures that you won't really notice the band (you might hear them) and also the music from our cd was enough. Email your Wedding Coordinator (Rasheda) and she will forward you a list of extras/cost. Good Luck to you! |
