The whole experience of getting to the resort is alot of fun. Our first time, was a culture shock. I mean we had a bus driver that didn't know how to use the brakes, it was pedal to the metal and the horn a blazin!! LOL We were flying back in forth in that crazy bus, dodging cars, goats, people, you name it! But what really keeps us going back is because the staff remembers you, and is so happy to see you, its amazing! Also-The 5 course meal at the French restaurant. The Bayside restaurant actually sits in the ocean, and you can see mantarays and sea life as your eating. Every nite around 4 a saxaphonist walks out onto the pier and plays. Its really cool to hear him play while your getting ready in your room to head to dinner. The view of watching the cruise ships coming into port every morning while your sitting on your patio having coffee and eating fresh fruit. You are 30 minutes from Dunns River. If you like shopping and can handle craziness, and I mean craziness at the market in Ocho Rios, you will have a blast! Horseback riding in the mountains along a baby blue river that you can see clear to the bottom. Going to the "all nite" grill(burgers, french fries, jerk chicken, etc.)which is nice after singing your lungs out at the piano bar with everyone!lol We are a fun couple and like to drink and be loud and have an awesome time. But at CTI everything is winding down no later then Midnight. Its not an all nite, party central type resort. It turns totally romantic when the sun goes down. You see people laying in hammocks, sitting on benches arm in arm. Couples walking on the beach, its so awesome at CTI. And by the way we have never went out to the island. Just not our thing, to talk with someone I don't know with my junk hangin out! Hey you have any questions let me know I will surely try to help ya. We are going March 21st thru the 28th, if you haven't booked go when we do!!

Iowa,
You are so right about all of that, but also, CTI offers a certain old world elegance and charm. They have continually updated the resort, but have managed to keep the original 40's and 50's look blended in. We are going back this summer for that plus every reason you gave. The ride over on the bus gets better when you get the driver to stop at the first possible place for a few "refreshments". Our driver ended up stopping three times between Montego and Ochi. I think some of the people on the shuttle did not know how to handle us...they were island virgins and were probably in huge culture shock...lol....oh well!!!!!!
