So I just took a gander at trip advisor. Lots of people were outright dogging CSS! We are leaving for our honeymoon in 12 days and now I am freaking out a bit. Are we going to hate it? |

Stay your course...CSS would be my Couples resort of choice for a honeymoon. We were there this pass April and feel in love with CSS..So much so that we are doing a day pass there next April. DO NOT WORRY ONE BIT. Old Tommywommy would not steer you wrong. CSS...Couples Sans Souci...Oh,how I love typing these words. Hugs from 10 0 C |

Cotton Queen, I just checked their website quickly and noticed a lot of good reviews as well as a few not so good. We have been to Jamaica 8 times and loved CSS. I think it is a great resort for a honeymoon. What are your expectations and biggest concerns? Email me direct at mdn4500@hotmail.com, if you wish. |

cotton_queen, I would not worry at all. I use to use Trip Advisor but have found it very unreliable lately. My friend is going to another hotel with her family and was telling me about a review that frightened her. I found an almost identical review about CN and another resort, right down to "cracked tiles in the bathroom". Anyone, including hotel/resort owners, can post on this site with an anonymous sign-on. I haven't been to CSS but can tell you that CN was perfect. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Congratulations and relax. |

NO!!! Not at all! You will love it like most (if not all) of us here on the MB that have been do. I never read TA reviews, you never know what you will get. CSS is a beautiful resort, very romantic, private as you want or as social as you want. As a honeymoon spot I would definitely go there. My wife and I have been twice and we love it. Only going to CTI next year because we are going with 2 other couples we met at CSS this year and they wanted to check it out. The beach at CSS and CTI (from what I understand) aren't as nice as the Negril side, but I think the resort more than makes up for that. The staff are wonderful, food is great, drinks flow all day..... what more could you want? Don't fret, you will love CSS. |

We liked it so much in 2007 that we went back in 2008. Most if not all the rooms are newly renovated. The grounds are incredible...lush & vibrant with many little nooks for a romantic moment. What type of room do you have reserved? Personally, we love the Ocean suite w/balcony (OBSB). They are in several buildings but we like G (Gardenia) which is the farthest from the beach. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and if you are on the upper floor, the balcony is VERY private. It is quite large and has table & chairs (room service breakfast overlooking the ocean), and a 2 person lounger. T he spa is amazing! All massages are done in these oceanside private huts. Imagine feeling the tropical breeze and hearing the waves crash on the rocks while a skilled therapist works her magic! Sunset Beach is a great place to try out going A/N...the people are so friendly and non-judgemental. CSS is VERY romantic, ideal for couple time. There is entertainment in the evening but I'm not too qualified to speak on that as we usually skipped it. Have a wonderful trip, rest your fears and be sure to write a review when you return! |

Don't freak out! You have made a great choice!!!! I was just there from October 6 - October 13 for my honeymoon and it was wonderful! My husband and I had such a great time! We had the best of both worlds...there was fun and things to do, plus relaxation and romance! It is a very romantic place! The setting alone will take your breath away! I highly recommend paying the extra money to do the privet dinner...and have it in the wedding gazebo! It was the most romantic, coolest, memorable thing! So have no worries mon....you have made an excellent choice! Congrats and enjoy! |

We're going to CSS 12/2 for the 2nd time and can't wait! It's the most romantic, exotic Couples resort of all. Anyone who hates it is nuts. Take a look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tweedpics/sets/72157603435845890/ |

I'm a big fan of TA. However, you have to realize that there are people who will stand in a bread line and ask for toast. Everyone has their own perspective. I look overall to see how it is rated. I then look at the negative reviews to see if people are complaining about something that would be a deal breaker for me. What I generally find is people write bad reviews for what is otherwise a great resort when they 1. had a bad experience that then colors the entire stay 2. didn't do any homework and go somewhere that had their deal breakers or 3. are almost impossible to satisfy. We've been to CSS. I like CSA better because of the beach, but CSS is terrific. |

I was there in May of this year, and enjoyed every minute! I had never been to an all inclusive resort before, and was so impressed with everyting...the service, the food, the grounds, the rooms...everything. I would recommend it 100%. |

Cotton_Queen: You don't want to be one of those psycho-stressed brides. Take a deep breath and relax. Swear off of Trip Advisor and weather forecasts. Try to live in and remember the moment. It will be fine. Really. |

Live from CSS - popped into the games room to get cool while hubby checks email and figured I'd check the boards. Second time here, so far no problems whatsoever. Great food, plentiful drinks, fun people if you want to be social, lots of quiet if you want to be alone. I've seen some of the reviews on Tripadvisor, and I can't believe that they even went to the same resort. One person was complaining about the birds eating from the empty-dish tray at breakfast. You know what? We saw maybe three birds, and they were quiet and actually quite timid, so they certainly weren't a bother. They were actually quite pretty - certainly not like the nasty, fat disease-ridden rats-with-wings that infest most major European cities. Moreover, what are they supposed to do, shoot them? If you want to find something to complain about, I'm sure you can. If, however, you want to relax and have a great time, you're going to be love it, I'm confident. Will do the full review and all that later - back to the beach and whatever fruity rum concoction Duane is making me today! |

we have booked for march break 2009 at CSS, and had a few questions for previous guests/staff i guess: 1) when booking, it mentions that the rooms could be a king or two double beds. is there any worry that i will get two doubles instead of a king bed, or is this no worry at all? 2) what are the age groups of people that mostly frequent CSS? thank you. |
